Requirements of GP Registrars
-

COGPED videotape including protected time.

‘standard play’ speed. If the videotape is not of adequate audio / visual
quality they may be asked to submit a further videotape within 1 month.

Dearery Office.
-
Although the Royal Mail guarantees delivery of all packages and ensures
complete safety from dispatch to delivery, there have been occasions when a
videotape has not reached its destination. Before submitting their video, GP
Registrars are advised to make a copy and keep this in a secure place. The copy
videotape should be erased and/or destroyed as soon as a pass is obtained.

copy of the videotape Logbook Summary Sheet for their own reference in the
event of a request for resubmission.

for their own reference in the event of a request for resubmission.

make sure that they have understood the MRCGP, COGPED and Deanery instructions
on its submission. Checklist
-
Ensure that the videotape is either hand delivered or sent via Royal Mail
Special Delivery to the Deanery Office, no later than 3 months before the end
of their general practice training. Once videotapes are received in the Deanery
Office, they remain the property of the Deanery and cannot under any
circumstances be returned to the GP registrar.
-
Ensure that the Consent Forms For Video Recording For Assessment Purposes are
all signed and securely stored in the practice.
-
If the videotape is submitted later than 3 months prior to the end of their
general practice based training year it may result in a significant delay in
certification.
