Requirements of COGPED Video Assessors

Deanery

  1. Take responsibility for submissions in their care and keep these in a secure place at all times and return the submissions by the agreed date.
     
  2. Assess submissions according to the agreed marking instructions and schedules.
     
  3. Ensure all comments are legible and written in ink
     
  4. Refrain from recording any comments which are either inappropriate or personal or that cannot be reproduced for examination candidates in a meaningful manner
     
  5. Return videos which contain ‘no challenge consultations’ or are of poor quality or show incomplete consultations, to the Deanery as soon as possible, giving reason for rejection.
     
  6. Send videos only via Royal Mail Special Delivery or personally (hand) deliver to the Deanery.
     
  7. Contact the Deanery immediately if at any stage the submission does not arrive as expected.


National

  1. Videos referred to the national panel should be assessed by two 3rd level video assessors together.

  2. Videos for quality control should be assessed by the national panel as follows

    1. 1st level – 1st level video national assessor only

    2. 2nd level – 2nd level video national assessor only

    3. national pass – 3rd level video national assessor only

  3. Complete and return the evaluation forms SA-01 or SA-02 to the National Office after assessing the COGPED video. These forms will be sent with the video to the assessor.

  4. Inform the National Office of any change in circumstance, ie change of secure address or when unavailable for any length of time to assess videotapes.
