Failure in summative assessment
Ultimate failure is unusual, as this is a test of minimal competence.
Failure would have serious consequences for a GP Registrar’s future
career. It is anticipated that extended periods of training will
normally be available allowing resubmission. In the rare event of
eventual failure, support and counselling will be made available in the
Deanery and may be offered by the Director, Postgraduate Dean or
nominated deputy
