The Protocol Agreement
Introduction
The term ‘Deanery Office’ is used throughout this protocol and is
to mean Deanery Summative Assessment Office, its Deanery Summative Assessment
Administrator (‘Administrator’), Director of Postgraduate General Practice
Education (‘Director’) and Deanery Summative Assessment Co-ordinator
(‘Co-ordinator’)
Each Deanery Office administers the COGPED component
parts of summative assessment. A number of deaneries also administer
other methods as approved by the competent authority and GP registrars
are advised to seek guidance from their local Deanery
Office
The following applies to all Deanery Offices and
came into force in August 1998, and was last revised in August 2005..
