Marking procedure
The marking
schedule will be used.
Three first level markers will mark your project independently.
In order to pass you must achieve a total score of
18 or more, with a score of at least 2 on each criterion.
They may all pass it but if any one of these markers
refers the project, it will then go to two second level markers who will
consult each other before deciding on the final result – pass or refer.
If the second level markers refer it then the project will be sent back to
you with a marking schedule completed jointly by the second level markers
and this will show your score for each criterion. This will guide you on
where the project needs to be improved so that you can revise or change
your project. (You may decide to resubmit an entirely new project). So if
you are asked to resubmit your options are, therefore:
- submit a revised and improved version of your project;
- submit an entirely new project.
When you have resubmitted your project it is sent to
two second level markers and they then decide to pass or refer it.
If the resubmitted project is referred then it is sent to two National
Markers whose decision is final (pass or fail).
