Requirements of GP Trainers
- Protected time for the GP Registrar is vital.
- Ensure that they and their GP Registrar are familiar with the
proforma and marking schedule These should guide the planning of the Audit. If possible, set up an audit timetable with the GP
registrar.
- Focus on an appropriate size of audit
- Be prepared to offer guidance on finding relevant literature and
critical reading.
- All practices and members of staff should be fully aware of the
audit being undertaken as the results may affect them.
- If in doubt about your own audit knowledge/experience seek help
early from the Associate Director.
- Ensure they sign the
COGPED audit declaration form to confirm that the Audit is the work of the GP Registrar.
