Requirements of Deanery Assessors

  1. Use COGPED 8 criteria audit marking schedule to give your judgement on the GP registrar’s Audit project. It is crucial that the whole project is read before marking begins.

    1. The criteria to be used for marking are in bold print. The statements in less bold print should act as a guide when making your judgement.

    2. This will result in 8 criteria needing to be marked - a ‘Pass’ Audit project will require all criteria to be present.

  2. Refrain from recording any comments which are either inappropriate or personal or that cannot be reproduced for examination candidates in a meaningful manner

  3. Comment at any stage of the process but specifically if the GP registrars Audit project merits a ‘Refer’.

    1. Comments should be legible and written in ink.

  4. Be responsible for submissions in their care and keep these in a secure place at all times and return the submissions by the agreed date.

  5. Assess submissions according to the authorised marking instructions and schedules

  6. COGPED Audits must always be sent via 1st class mail or hand delivered to the Deanery Office and marked: ‘URGENT – SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT – CONFIDENTIAL – TO BE OPENED BY ADDRESSEE ONLY’

  7. Contact the Deanery Office immediately if at any stage the submission does not arrive as expected.
