I am due to complete my training at the end of July 2007, I have passed the SA MCQ and Audit, but failed the Video – what should I do?

Firstly, the Deanery will need to consider whether to offer you a period of further training. If they do, then you will be able to submit a video after an appropriate period of further training.

However, they should note that from 1 August 2007 all GPRs wishing to submit a video will have to do so via the MRCGP/SA Single Route – there will be two remaining diets in Autumn 07 and Spring 08. The SPS will continue until 31 July 2008.

NB. In exceptional circumstances, eg, if a GPR is returning to training after a period of maternity leave or sickness absence, or has undertaken a period of further training, only has a few months to complete, and also falls between the two Single Route diets, they may be allowed to submit a video via the COGPED-only route after 31 July 2007. However they will need to seek the Deanery and NOSA prior approval to do so.
